Championship Charter

Introduction

This charter defines the values and rules of the Youth Football Championship. Its objectives are to promote:

• Respect
• Sportsmanship and fair play
• A friendly atmosphere
• The footballing and personal development of each child

All teams, players, coaches, and officials commit to respecting this charter.

Spirit of the Championship

The championship is a place for learning, enjoyment, and sharing. Sporting results must never take precedence over:

• Respect for opponents
• Respect for referees
• The safety and well-being of the children

Respect and Conduct

All teams and participants agree to:

• Respect the referee's decisions
• Respect their opponents
• Promote fair play on and off the field
• Ensure exemplary conduct from coaches, staff, and supporters

Any violent, insulting, or unsportsmanlike conduct is strictly prohibited.

Complaints and Disputes

• In the event of a problem or dispute, a complaint may be filed with the championship organizers.
• The organizers will review the case and make a final decision in the best interests of the competition and the children.

Team Commitment

Participation in the championship implies full and unreserved acceptance of this charter. Each team agrees to respect and enforce these rules throughout the competition.

Age Categories

The age categories are defined as follows:

• U7: Players aged 7 or younger during the calendar year
• U9: Players aged 9 or younger during the calendar year
• U11: Players aged 11 or younger during the calendar year
• U13: Players aged 13 or younger during the calendar year
• U15: Players aged 15 or younger during the calendar year
• U16: (Girls) Players aged 16 or younger during the calendar year

Playing Up a Category

• Playing in a higher age category is permitted.
• Playing in a lower age category is strictly prohibited.

Each team must present the identification (or a photocopy/scan) of each player (identity card or passport) on the day of the match to verify their age and confirm their eligibility for the category. Failure to provide this documentation will result in the disqualification of the player(s) in question at the request of the opposing team.

Match Organization

• The championship is played in a home-and-away format.
• 7 players per team for all categories.
• The home team is responsible for providing the referee and ensuring a respectful and appropriate welcome for the visiting team.

Match Duration

• U7 / U9 / U11: 2 x 15 minutes
• U13: 2 x 20 minutes
• U15 / U16: 2 x 25 minutes

Laws of the Game

Matches are played according to the FIFA Laws of the Game, unless otherwise stated in this charter.
